JCK Honored in BtoB’s Best Creative Award Competition

New York, NY (November 2, 2010) – JCK magazine received an honorable mention from BtoB’s Best Creative Award Competition in the Non-Traditional Placement category for its Paper Dress Campaign, a highly-competitive custom publishing award from BtoB.

The dresses were designed to promote the re-launch of the magazine at the JCK Show, the largest jewelry show in the country. Taking a page out of TV’s Project Runway, JCK tapped New York based designer Adam Selman to use the inaugural cover of its new magazine as fabric to create paper dresses.

BtoB noted that, “Even at a trade show where models are often used as exhibit booth draws, this promotion stood out.

The models and their paper doll dresses created a sensation on the event floor. Attendees lined up to have their pictures taken with the paper-dress clad models.”

“The JCK team is obsessed with creating innovative channels to captivate our readers and bring attention to the extraordinary redesign,” said Mark Smelzer, Publisher, JCK. “We thrilled to be honored by BtoB and invigorated to start more non-traditional campaigns. Stay tuned.”

Reed Exhibitions, which acquired JCK magazine and its online extensions from its sister company, Reed Business Information, tapped TMG to publish JCK magazine and JCKonline.com on its behalf.
